Only people directly responding can access your medical profile when needed, as the range of the NFC antenna is only picked up by scanning closely. Your data is protected with secure encryption on Australian Servers to ensure privacy.
If you lose your MediScan bracelet it is important that we keep your details safe, immediately report it by emailing profiles@mediscanid.com. Your medical profile can be deactivated for the lost device and transferred to a new one for security.
You can add an emergency contact’s phone number when you create your profile on MediScanid.com.au. Simply go to the settings, select “Emergency Contacts,” and enter the number. Make sure to save the changes so they’re available when needed.
Yes, you can update your medical details anytime through the MediScan app. Simply log in, go to your profile, and edit the necessary information. The changes will be saved instantly. You can always reset your password if you forget.
Yes, MediScan is designed to be water-resistant, meaning it can handle everyday splashes and sweat. However, it’s recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to water, like swimming or showering, to maintain its durability.
No, MediScan stores essential medical data on the server, it is up to the responder to have data on the phone to be able to load your profile.
